Voice Of Peace Organization Annual Report 2020

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

They have been here, They are here, They always be.

It was great having a get together for children who have been cared for in the past two decades. Some are now married and have kids; some are in different occupations and we thank God the dream is alive. It has been a long journey taking care of orphans. The route has witnessed a lot of ups and downs due to different factors. Like a woman who forgets about the pain of labor after receiving a bouncing baby ; Pastor Tatenda and Lucia Gunguwo celebrates with their over 100 God given children who have managed to see the glory of God in the land of the living. It was an emotional event full of emotions; seeing different children coming with their big cars to celebrate God's blessings with their God given parents. Hallelujah!

Psalm 145:6-8 — Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness.

God has been so faithful to us; a lot of children have grown up empowered to work with their own hands, others have become Chattered Accounts, Directors, Professional teachers, Social Workers among others. It gives joy and goosebumps and passion to even nurture more. We continue working hard to ensure orphans and vulnerable children are given an opportunity to dream, hope and realize their dreams. Glory be to God!

Isaiah 63: 7 — I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us.

Orphans Celebrates Christmas Party

Whit a year full of negative effects especially to children who have been largely impacted with Covid-19 regulations there was time for them to express their jovial emotions. Over 150 children gathered to celebrate Christmas.

It was a great joy for them as they were not shy not express their gratitude. Children received Christmas gifts and we are grateful being one of the strongest support system especially in such a time like this.

Daniel Academy Block Being Erected

With lot of children failing to obtain their basic rights comprising right to clean water, education, health care facilities, shelter among others, we are grateful with the progress at Daniel Academy School. The school is able to provide schooling which is vital and its ability to turn life fortunes is evident across the world.

orphans and vulnerable through different programs. Economic hardships continue drowning people into poverty, HIV/AIDS is paralyzing families and orphans are increasing day by day. This continue increasing the burden to caring for the young innocence, whose dreams needs to be nurtured and sustained so that they can hope and realize their God given gifts.

Job 14:7-9 — Indeed there is hope for a tree. If it's cut down and still sprouting and its shoots don't fail, if its roots age in the ground and its stump dies in the dust, at the scent of water, it will bud and produce sprouts like a plant.

Pastors Receive Food Hampers Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

A lot of people have been impacted by Covid-19 including Pastors. They were delighted receiving food hampers in such a difficulty year of 2020.

They shared their gratefulness through songs of joy and prayers. We continue thanking God for brethren stretching their hands towards this cause and we pray that we integrate new ways to leading the flocks especially in this time of Covid-19 pandemic.

James 1:27, KJV: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself un-spotted from the World.

Daniel Academy Children Writes Examinations

After some months of lockdown due to covid19 pandemic regulations. We are grateful that our children from Daniel Academy were able to write their end of year examination after the lockdown was lifted. Educational empowerment is one of our key areas as it enables children to have sustenance in the future through knowledge and skills. Over 180 children enrolled managed to write and there was a significant decline in performance despite efforts to teach them during lockdown, The underprivileged children lacks material to study online from cellphones, tablets or internet access. Whilst those who afford across the country thrives under theses circumstances, we are bit worried about children who will sit for their year end final examinations.
