Voice of Peace Organization would like to thank all supporters for the generous gifts towards orphans and vulnerable children comprising; food parcels, sanitizers, prayers and all forms of help during this difficult year. They haven been timely gifts as the economic hardships continue making things hard for the less privileged. Orphans and vulnerable children are the most hard hit by Covid-19. The abuse of children has been rising due to difficulties for guardians to providing meals and other basic requirements in this difficult year. Most of these children spend their time on the fields gleaning on already harvested fields where there has been poor yields because of poor rainfall. Some will be hunting mice and grasshoppers endangering their lives to covid-19. Help towards them is always key for sustenance and their livelihoods
Daniel Academy School Epworth, Harare

A lot of children under our care goes through a lot of negative and tiring experiences in places they are staying. Covid-19 resulted in multiple reports of child abuse cases, early child marriages and prostitution thus risking being infected by HIV/AIDS. When the economy is incapacitated with over 90% unemployment rate; providing a better welfare for people who rely on the informal sector shuttered by covid-19 is seldom easy and children are hit the hardest.
Schooling helps them avoid a lot of negativity at home and gives them a platform to be encouraged and motivated. We are grateful that our children managed to reopen schools and wrote their examinations. Educational empowerment is one of our key elements to alleviate human suffering and we are grateful for all the progress .

Children's Christmas Party
Children's had an incredible time during their Christmas Party held on the 12th of December 2020. They had different activities where they won different gifts for bible memory verses, poems, songs, dances, crafts among others.

They ate a lot of food and had time to dance celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Coordinators and volunteers took the opportunity to emphasize how much we need to pray and continuing praising God as believers in the Lord.
Children were very appreciative for the Christmas Party held for them especially during this difficulty year. Such events helps them to refresh psychologically and mentally as they go through a lot of pressures in life. Voice of Peace Organization continues being a support system for a lot of orphans from broken families. After facing a lot of hard-ships , children always needs the word of God to encourage them, give them hope and reason to live.
