Challenges:
Scripture Union Chiedza is kept going by Volunteer Workers without permanent staff due to lack of resources. This situation hinders project growth.
We do not have enough space for expansion of the farming projects because we are leasing the place of safety. If we would have our own premises, we could do more than what we are doing at the moment. Even the number of children we are caring for are limited because we do not have our own orphanage.
Success Stories:
One boy living in the streets came to our contact Centre for assistance, we assisted him through psychosocial support. Our field officer and social workers mentored him until he managed to rent a house. His story is much encouraging that after being advised he rented a house and now doing piece jobs for self-sustenance.
Conclusion:
We thank Change a Life Foundation which has made a significant impact to Scripture Union Chiedza programs through their support to the needy children. We also give thanks to other partners and supporters who joined hands with us for the betterment of needy children.
